Joe Rubalcaba is a Los Angeles-born filmmaker and content creator, known for his diverse experience as a director, producer, editor, writer, and proud member of the Writers Guild of America West. After starting out in music videos as part of the directing duo Artificial Army, with representation by Partizan, and projects for bands like The Mars Volta and Flogging Molly, Joe went on to direct and produce several independent films, including a psychedelic concert film for Dead Meadow and Almost Sharkproof, an action-comedy featuring Jon Lovitz. He also directed for HDNet's hit comedy Svetlana, starring Iris Bahr, with guest appearances by Randall Park, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Thomas Lennon, Lance Reddick, and many more.
Recently, Joe has been at the forefront of A.I. generative art, pushing creative boundaries for names like: Theo Von, LimeWire and ElmonX, while also playing a key role in one of the world’s most viral A.I. video production companies. His projects in new media and television have earned tens of millions of views across platforms like The Nerdist, The Jim Henson Company, Legendary Entertainment, Lionsgate, and Nickelodeon. He has also developed reality, competition, and game shows for companies such as Funny or Die, Mission Control Media, GSN, and All3 Media.
